We are currently hiring an Analyst to join our team of professionals committed to the management and deployment of more than $550 million in private capital.
The incumbent will assist in executing investments that align with the group's business objectives, as well as monitoring them, according to mandates issued by the managed funds.
Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for providing comprehensive and rigorous fundamental analysis and financial modelling of various investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the selection of investment opportunities and contribute to preparing analyses and documents supporting investment recommendations to decision-making bodies
- Contribute actively to due diligence of investment opportunities by assessing financial information, analyzing the business and competitive environment, verifying the soundness of the business model, and ensuring the quality of the management team
- Monitor portfolio companies’ financial results and ensure its tracking by producing necessary documentation such as tracking sheets, dashboards, financial models, valuation reports, and sector presentations.
- Review and analyze legal documentation related to investment opportunities
- Develop effective analysis, research, and monitoring systems
- Produce industry analysis documents
- Support other team members to achieve expected results
- Perform any other related tasks as assigned by their team leader
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or any other related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Professional designation: CFA and/or CPA (an asset).
- Proficient with business software (office suite) and financial market tools and databases including Capital IQ and Bloomberg
- Demonstrate keen business sense.
- Fluent in both French and English, both spoken and written
